Georgian company Alter Energy to build two mini hydropower plants in Adjara

Georgian company Alter Energy will construct two mini hydropower plants in Adjara, Georgian Energy Ministry told Trend on Tuesday.

The company won tender for the expression of interests.

Two hydropower plants - "Okropilauri HPP" and "Gogniauri HPP" will be built on the rivers Tbetitskali and Modulistskali.

Capacity of "Okropilauri HPP" will hit 1.8 megawatts, and annual electricity generation - 9.4 million kilowatt hours.

Installed power of " Gogniauri HPP" will be as 1.8 megawatts and annual electricity generation - 9.3 million kilowatt hours.

The investment portfolio of both projects is $ 2.6 million.
