SOFAZ has received $75.8 billion in 2001-2012, official Mushfig Bayramov said at a workshop for the media today.
"SOFAZ's expenditures for the period reached $41.3 billion," he said.
The ratio of SOFAZ's transfer in the revenues of the state budget for 2003-2011 increased from 8.2 percent to 57.3 percent. According to SOFAZ, as of the end of the first half of 2012, this figure reached 60.3 percent.
SOFAZ's revenues for 2012 are projected at 13.721.8 billion manat, and expenses - 10.751.3 billion manat. SOFAZ's expenses for management in 2012 are expected to be 73 million manat.
SOFAZ's assets increased from $0.5 billion to $32.8 billion in 2001-2012 (as of June 30).
"About 3.249.4 billion manat of this amount were directed to finance social and infrastructure projects," he said. The transfers to the state budget amounted to 29.772.3 billion manat."
About 1.020.2 billion manat in the structure of SOFAZ's expenditures were spent to improve the conditions of refugees and internally displaced persons, 779.6 million manat to finance the projects of laying a water pipeline from the Oguz-Gabala zone to Baku, 762.5 million manat to reconstruct the Samur-Absheron irrigation system, 297.9 million manat for the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline construction project.
About 259.4 million manat of SOFAZ's funds were spent for the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway construction project and 90 million manat to form the authorized capital of "Azerbaijan Investment Company".
About 39.8 million manat was spent for Azerbaijani students' education abroad within the state program for 2007-2015.
SOFAZ was established in 1999 and then its assets amounted to $271 million. SOFAZ assets increased by 30.9 per cent as of January 1, 2012 compared to early 2011 ($22.766.8 billion) and amounted to $29.8 billion.
