In addition, the Ministry of Oil and Gas examined more than 100 projects on the development, exploration of oil and gas fields, at the same time technological indicators are specified, including oil production from more than 30 fields.
Earlier projects aiming at increasing the depth of oil refining, processing, residual heavy oil into high-quality motor fuels was launched by the order of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"Processing volumes of oil at Kazakh refineries will increase to 15 million tons with an increase in the depth of oil refining by 84-90 percent and bringing the quality of domestic petroleum products up to quality standards of the Euro in 2014 in accordance with the State program on industrialization," the ministry said.
The first project involves the creation of integrated refining complex in the Atyrau oil refinery; the second - bringing of gas-chemical complex in Atyrau to the design capacity, the third project involves the construction of a gas processing plant at Karachaganak.
