In the first half-year, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced about 3.42 billion cubic meters of gas compared to 3.53 billion cubic meters in January-June 2011, SOCAR said on Monday.
According to the report, in June SOCAR produced 557.9 million cubic meters of gas compared to 590.6 million cubic meters in June 2011.
According to SOCAR, in January-June, the country produced about 13.2 billion cubic meters. In June, the figure hit 2.21 billion cubic meters compared to 2.19 billion cubic meters in June 2011.
Last year, Azerbaijan produced approximately 26 billion cubic meters of gas. In 2011, 7.08 billion cubic meters of gas accounted for SOCAR.
