The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is planning to commission 2 new gas station in the north of Azerbaijan, SOCAR resource reported to Trend on Monday.
These are first gas stations under SOCAR brand name which will operate outside Baku.
"Construction of 2 new stations is underway. It's planned to be completed by the end of year," the source noted.
The number of stations, operating under SOCAR brand name, currently amounts to 14.The number of gas stations all over Azerbaijan is planned to reach 100. They will be located in major cities as well as at the entry and exit of each region.
SOCAR company has a wide net of gas stations in Georgia, is commissioning gas stations in Ukraine and Romania. Moreover, SOCAR has purchased a wide net of gas stations in Switzerland.
