Kazakh Samruk-Green Energy and German KD Stahl-und Maschinenbau GmbH plan to build a wind power turbine plant, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to the Kazakh company.

"On November 1, Samruk-Green Energy company (100-percent subsidiary Samruk-Energy) and KD Stahl-und Maschinenbau GmbH company (Germany) discussed a joint project in the field of renewable energy sources "Construction of wind electric power station production plant is in the free economic zone Park of innovative technologies"," the company said.

Within the meting the companies signed a memorandum of cooperation which will be the basis of the project.


The capacity of small wind turbines is planned to reach a production range from 300 W to 7 kW. The main advantage of such wind turbines is to generate electricity at low wind speeds (2 meters per second) and regardless of its direction.

"The project will attract highly skilled foreign professionals, conduct industry research, prepare and train technical personnel in KD Stahl-und Maschinenbau's factories in Germany, localize and increase the share of innovation - active companies in the free economic zone," the Kazakh company said.
