Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 29 / Trend V. Zhavoronkova /

Kyrgyzstan continues experiencing a shortage of gas supplies, spokesperson for "Kyrgyzgaz" company Djaynagul Maximova told Trend today.

"The needs of the gas in Kyrgyzstan hit 55,000 cubic meters per hour," she said. "At present, the country receives 41,000 cubic meters of gas."

She added that gas suppliers explain this by sharp deterioration in the weather conditions in the area of fuel production in Uzbekistan.

"Today, the problem remains unresolved and it is unknown how the situation will be developed," she said.

She said that the government and Prime Minister deal with this issue.

"There are no changes now," she said. "The government deals with this issue, as it is an inter-governmental agreement."
