SOCAR's right to sell 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas in Turkey will allow it to provide all SOCAR companies with fuel, SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullayev told the media today.
"These volumes were calculated with data from SOCAR's plans to build a new refinery in Turkey, to develop a port and to construct a power station near Petkim Petrochemical Complex in which SOCAR has equity participation," Abdullayev said.
He said that the special company is supplying gas for Petkim and selling the surplus on the Turkish domestic market to provide with gas provided by Botas company to SOCAR.
"The extra gas is sold on the market because SOCAR's projects in Turkey are being developed and implemented," Abdullayev said.
