The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) intends to open 30 more gas stations in Georgia in the next two years, a source in SOCAR said on Tuesday.

He said in particular about 15 gas stations will be opened in Georgia next year, most of which will be combined, that is in addition to oil products, gas filling will be carried out here.

Accordingly, the remaining part of the stations planned to be opened will account for 2014.

At present, the number of SOCAR's gas stations in Georgia is 99. According to the source, by late 2012, it is planned to open one or two more stations.

This month, the first multi-functional combined gas station was opened in Georgia under the SOCAR brand.

SOCAR is the only producer of oil products in the country and also owns petrol stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine. Last year SOCAR purchased network of gas filling stations in Switzerland.
