Geological and geodetic research of the Khudoni HPP dam and reservoir is being undertaken in Georgia.
As the Trans Electrica Company reported, additional research is being conducted within the project at the company's request. In particular experts from the Swiss STUC company are conducting geological and geodetic surveys on the Khudoni HPP base of dam and reservoir. Work should be completed by late February.
According to Trans Electrica Company, STUC has 85 years of experience on large dam projects. Since 1926, it has been involved in more than 100 infrastructure mega-projects around the world.
As Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze told journalists earlier, it was decided to suspend the construction of the hydropower plant for three months.
