In January 2013, Georgia bought electricity from and implemented exports to Russia alone. According to the Electricity System Commercial Operator Company, in January, Georgia imported 126.58 million kilowatt hours of electricity from Russia, or 46.3 million kilowatt hours more than in 2012 (80.191 million kilowatt- hours).
In January 2012, Georgia imported 296.676 thousand kilowatt hours of electricity from Azerbaijan. In January of this year, electricity to Georgia was not exported from Azerbaijan.
In January 2013, Georgia exported 1.015 thousand kilowatt hours of electricity to the Russian Federation. In January 2012, electricity exports to Russia were not implemented.
In the first month of the previous year, electricity exported to Azerbaijan totalled 1.135 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity.
In general in 2012, Georgia imported 614.59 million kilowatt hours of electricity and exported 528.15 million kilowatt-hours.
Georgia carries power flows with Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey.
