KazMunaiGas slightly increases oil production in Kazakhstan in first quarter of 2013

Kazakhstan's National Oil Company KazMunaiGas (KMG) produced 5.6 million tons of oil and gas condensate in the first quarter of 2013, the company said.

.In the first quarter, the consolidated volume of oil and gas condensate production for KMG with shares in subsidiaries and jointly controlled organisations reached 5.6 million tons (101 per cent of the plan)', a report says.

In addition during the reporting period, targets for transportation and oil cargo traffic via the main JSC KazTransOil oil pipelines, as well as targets for the consolidated profit have been over fulfilled.

KazMunaiGaz is the Kazakh national operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in Kazakhstan's gas and oil industry. KazMunaiGas shares are wholly owned by the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund.
