The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 570,500 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline in January-April compared to over 656,300 in January-April 2012, SOCAR said on Wednesday.
In 2012 SOCAR exported 2.06 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline compared to 1.99 million tons in 2011.
According to the report, in April 159,150 tons of oil was exported from Novorossiysk compared to over 159,400 tons in April 2012.
SOCAR tranships oil from its own fields and from joint ventures and companies operating in Azerbaijan, through Novorossiysk.
Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) became the operator of the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline till late 2007. It then transferred these functions to SOCAR.
