The explosion on the Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline, via which Iraqi oil is supplied to Turkey, has led to suspension of oil pumping, the "Aswat Iraq" newspaper reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, the explosion on the pipeline occurred at night in the Iraqi province of Salahuddin. A terrorist attack is called as a preliminary cause of the explosion. The pipeline was damaged as a result of the explosion.
At present, maintenance inspection and repair of the pipeline is underway. It is unknown when oil pumping through the pipeline will be resumed.
