PM meets with Shah Deniz natural gas consortium

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras met with representatives of Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz 2 Consortium at the Maximos Mansion on Wednesday, ahead of the consortium's decision by end June on whether the TAP or Nabucco pipeline will be supplied first, ANA-MPA news agency reported.

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras met with representatives of Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz 2 Consortium at the Maximos Mansion on Wednesday, ahead of the consortium's decision by end June on whether the TAP or Nabucco pipeline will be supplied first, ANA-MPA news agency reported.

A delegation from the Consortium including senior BP and Azerbaijani SOCAR natural gas company executives briefed the premier and the Environment, Energy and Climate Change ministry officials on the procedure.

The Greek government supports the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project that will carry natural gas to Italy through Greece and Albania.
