Daily gas consumption in Azerbaijan increases by over one million cubic meters
Azerbaijan, Baku, October 24/Trend, E.Ismayilov/
As of October 24, 2013, the daily volume of gas supplied to the Azerbaijani population amounted to 7.9 million cubic meters compared to nearly 6.6 million cubic meters as of September 27, a source at the Azerbaijani State Oil Company (SOCAR) told Trend on Thursday.
The increase in the level of gas consumption is caused by deteriorating weather conditions over the country.
According to the source, some 4.5 million cubic meters of the total volume of daily consumed gas in the country falls to Baku.
"Currently, the country's regions account for 3.4 million cubic meters of gas, "the SOCAR said.
The Azerigas Production Association of SOCAR is involved in the distribution and sale of gas to consumers across Azerbaijan.
