Holland is interested in increasing Azerbaijani oil supplies through the port of Rotterdam, Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb told journalists in Baku today.
According to Aboutaleb, the possibility of increasing the supply volume has been recently discussed at a meeting in the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
Azerbaijani oil is of a very high quality, Aboutaleb said.
"Currently, two million tons of Azerbaijani oil are transported through the port of Rotterdam which is only two per cent of the total volume of oil transported through our port, one of the largest in the world," Aboutaleb said. "We believe these volumes can be and must be increased."
