The power system of Western Georgia suffered damages as a result of a snowstorm, snowfall and frost that hit Georgia, Georgian Deputy Minister of Energy Irakli Khmaladze told journalists on Dec.9.
Around 155,000 customers in Khulo, Keda, Bagdati and Vani regions are without power. The electricity supply will be resumed gradually," the deputy minister said.
The supply of electricity to Kakheti and Tbilisi is uninterrupted, according to Khmaladze.
