Iran average gasoline consumption hits 62 million liters

Iran's average gasoline consumption stood at 62.1 million liters per day as of Dec. 6, the IRIB News Agency reported on Dec. 10.

A total of 449.9 million liters of gasoline was consumed in Iran during the first six days of December.

The country's gasoline consumption showed 15 million liters decrease compared to the preceding week.

Dec. 5 with 70.7 million liters, and Dec. 6 with 55.1 million liters respectively recorded the highest and lowest rate of gasoline consumption in the week.

The average gasoline consumption of Iran's capital, Tehran, stood at 81.8 million liters in the first six days of December, some 4.4 million liters less than the preceding week.

Over 6.534 billion liters of gasoline was consumed in Iran during the summer.

The figure is 500 million liters more than the same period of time in the previous year, the IRNA News Agency reported.

Iran's average gasoline consumption stood at 68.5 and 68.2 million liters per day in the first and second months of summer, respectively.

The figure reached 74 million liters in the third month of summer.

Iran's average gasoline consumption stood at around 71.6 million liters per day in the previous Iranian calendar year, the ISNA News Agency reported.

According to the Deputy Oil Minister Alireza Zeyqami Iran's average gasoline consumption stands at around 63.5 million liters per day.
