Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec. 16

By Emil Ismayilov - Trend:

As of December 16, 2013, the daily volume of gas supplied to Azerbaijani population stood at 28 million cubic meters versus 18 million cubic meters in November 28, Azerigas Production Association (PA) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told Trend.

Azerigas PA deals with the distribution and sale of natural gas to consumers in Azerbaijan.

Increase of the gas consumption is related to the deteriorating weather conditions in the country. Some 17 million cubic meters out of the total daily gas consumption in the country accounted for Baku, Azerigas said.

"Currently, 11 million cubic meters of gas account for the country's regions every day," according the Azerigas.

Azerigas PA said the consumers get the necessary volumes of gas and there are no problems in supplying the population with gas.
