Three fields of Embamunaigas in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau province resume activity

Three fields of JSC Embamunaigas (EMG) in Kazakhstan's Atyrau oblast (province), where work was suspended, have resumed activities, according to the EMG's message.

On September 24, 2013, the specialized inter-district economic court of Atyrau region made a decision to suspend industrial mining at Eastern Makat, Novobogatinsk Southeast and Zhanatalap East fields until the elimination of environmental requirement violations and the state ecological examination concluded positively .

"The EMG has harmonized the projects on development of these fields, as well as projects on standards of maximum allowable pollutants emission into atmosphere with the environmental requirements.

Positive conclusions of the state ecological examination, specified in the first instance court's decision, were received from the Environment and Water Resources Ministry's Environmental Control Committee and the Department of Ecology in Atyrau region, on November 21 and December 10, 2013, respectively ," according to the message.

To date, the above fields are operating in a normal mode, the EMG said.
