Turkmenneft State Concern increased the pace of drilling work in 2013 and commissioned 82 wells exceeding the planned volume, Turkmen Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources said on Jan.28.

"Around 18 wells were handed over to field men by the drillers of the Korpeje bureau of drilling works which is two wells more than the planned number. The above planned excavation of these wells amounted to over 27,000 metres," the ministry said.

The success at the Gogerendag field in the Balkan province was especially highlighted. Well No.89 with a designed depth of 3650 metres was commissioned here in late 2013. The drilling of well No.37 with the designed depth of 3950 metres continues this year and some 2400 metres of it has already been excavated.

Oil production with gas condensate increased by 100.2 percent in 2013 compared to 2012. The development of drilling depths increased 135.3 percent in total.

Turkmenneft carries out significant works on the land areas of Miesser, Akeser, Simler, Garadashli, West Korpeje located near the Gogerendag-Ekerem zone of South-western Turkmenistan uplifts.
