"Azerkimya" Production Association of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan will carry out work on two major production units in 2014-2016, Executive Director of the production association Khagani Babayev told Trend.
"Azerkimya" Production Association is one of the main producer of the chemical production in Azerbaijan.
The products manufactured by the "Azerkimya" are exported to countries such as Turkey, China, Ukraine, Georgia, Poland, US, UAE, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Russia, Belarus, the Baltic and Central Asian countries.
Reconstruction directions have been developed and reports have been prepared on these production units in cooperation with the Russian "VNIIOS-science" and "Plastpolymer" institutes which are the licensors of the EP-300 and Polymir -120 units, according to Babayev.
"As part of the reconstruction works at the EP-300, it is planned to construct a new plant for complete hydrogenation of C4 fraction which is supplied from Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev to ensure the production of reliable and high quality raw material," he said.
Also within the work on the reconstruction it is considered the construction of new plant on the cleansing of propane-propylene fraction, replacement of the isothermal reactors with adiabatic reactors in order to reduce losses of targeted products, reconstruction of the equipment in order to increase the yield of propylene, Babayev said.
Furthermore it is planned to apply automatic control system at the EP - 300 and Polimir-120 production units, modernization of the cogeneration plant in order to increase the efficiency and increase of capacity of the electricity generation, developmental work of technical measures to provide with raw material the new units on the production of polypropylene and high density polyethylene, PA executive director noted.
SOCAR includes production associations Azneft (companies producing oil and gas on land and sea), Azerkimya (chemical industry enterprise) and Azerigas.
Furthermore, the SOCAR consists of a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises, institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling operations.
