AI-92 gasoline stabilization reserve in the amount of 50,000 metric tons will be created in Kazakhstan, Kazakh First Deputy Minister of Energy Uzakbai Karabalin said at a briefing in the Central Communication Service Oct. 21.

"The stabilization reserve is planned to have about 50,000 metric tons," Karabalin said. "Today it will depend on the price at which we will be able to buy these volumes."

"This issue is discussed with the Economy Ministry, the Finance Ministry and those large entities having fueling stations virtually all over the country," he said.

"The necessary amount of funding for this work is also under discussion," he said.

Planned measures to stabilize the domestic oil product market have been worked out to resolve the problems in the future.

The plan was considered at a meeting of the inter-ministerial commission for the development of oil, gas and energy fields.
