None of departments of the Baku Oil Refinery Azneftyag stopped its work, Vice President of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) on processing issues David Mammadov told reporters May 13.
He said that the information about the suspension of some departments at the plant is not true.
"Starting from January 1, 2015, two Baku refineries were merged," said Mammadov. "But each of them operates, because a physical association does not mean that some of the departments will stop working."
He went on to add that after the reconstruction, the refinery will produce a new product.
"Regarding a new product, we mean gasoline 95, its production will be established," said the Vice President of SOCAR.
The company SOCAR starting from January 2015 announced the liquidation of the Azneftyag refinery and its merger with the Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev.
This decision was taken as part of work to improve and optimize the structure of SOCAR.
