Uzbekistan's Cabinet of Ministers has signed a decree "On organizing the construction of the external infrastructure facilities of Kandym gas processing plant" to approve the construction of the external electricity supply facilities.
The decree approves the construction of 220-kilovolt power transmission line from the existing substations of Uzbekenergo state joint-stock company to Kandym gas processing plant, including their modernization and expansion, as well as construction of the railway transport infrastructure and driveways of the plant, as well as industrial tracks.
Moreover, the decree approves the lists of the customers, design and contractor organizations engaged in designing, purchase of equipment and materials, construction and modernization of the external electricity supply facilities and rail transport infrastructure of Kandym gas processing plant.
As part of the implementation of the project, LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company LLC is allowed to sign a direct agreement with Uzbekistan Railways for designing, purchase of equipment and materials and construction of industrial tracks with the funds of the investor.
Jointly with Uzmetkombinat, Uzstroymaterialy and Uzbekneftegaz companies, the Ministry of Economy has been instructed to ensure the delivery of rolled metal, cement and fuels and lubricants in accordance with the direct agreements and at regulated prices at the request of Uzbekistan Railways and Uzbekenergo.
