Baku, Azerbaijan, July 8
By Maksim Tsurkov – Trend:
Representatives of the founders of the Sarmatia International Pipeline Company confirmed the need for implementing the project on Brody-Plock oil pipeline’s construction during the 15th Meeting of the EU Eastern Partnership Platform 3 on Energy Security in Brussels, the Sarmatia IPC Director General Sergiy Skrypka told Trend July 8.
“During the event, representatives of all the founders of the Sarmatia IPC, including the company itself presented information about the preparation of the project,” said Skrypka.
“It is necessary to say that absolutely all of our founders supported the need for implementation of the project and confirmed their willingness to contribute to continuation of the work on it,” he added.
The Brody-Plock oil pipeline is currently the only incomplete part of the Euro-Asian Oil Transportation Corridor (EOTC). The EOTC project will give the Caspian states an additional reliable route for their oil supplies to the European markets, as well as new customers and opportunities to work in adjacent markets.
Participants of Sarmatia are the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation Ltd (GOGC), Ukrainian UkrTransNafta, Polish Przedsiebiorstwo Eksploatacji Rurociagow Naftowych Przyjazn SA and Lithuanian AB Klaipedos Nafta.
