Kazakhstan’s oil and gas production decreased in January-July 2016 compared to the same period of 2015

Kazakhstan’s oil and gas production decreased in January-July 2016 compared to the same period of 2015, the Kazakh Statistics Committee said Aug. 16.

During the period, oil and gas condensate production decreased by 3.4 percent to 45.41 million tons (38.48 tons of oil and 6.94 tons of gas condensate).

Oil production decreased by 2.3 percent and gas condensate production fell by 7.4 percent in the period.

Gas production decreased by 0.5 percent– to 26.84 billion cubic meters in January-July.

Associated gas production amounted to 14.73 billion cubic meters, which is 3 percent more than in the same period of 2015.

Kazakhstan’s oil and condensate output totaled 79.46 million tons in 2015, which is 1.7 percent less than in 2014.

Gas production increased by 5.2 percent – to 45.713 billion cubic meters in the country in 2015.
