Oil companies spent $1.51 million in 2016 for social responsibility projects in Azerbaijan as part of the BP-operated projects, a BP Azerbaijan report said.
In 2016, the social responsibility projects within the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block’s development cost $209,300.
The social responsibility costs within the Shah Deniz gas and condensate field’s development were $136,300, while within the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines they stood at $496,700.
BP, which participates in all these energy projects, spent $666,800 within its own social responsibility projects.
In 2015, $4.5 million was spent on social responsibility projects within the BP-operated projects in Azerbaijan as compared to $5.78 million in 2014.
