Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) shipped 17.72 million tons of CPC Blend oil from Russia’s terminal Yuzhnaya Ozereyka-2 in January-April 2017, as compared to 15.07 million tons in the same period of 2016, reads a message posted on the CPC website May 2.

The consortium shipped 4.71 million tons of CPC Blend from the terminal in April 2017.

A slight decline in the April figures was due to the scheduled 56-hour suspension of the pipeline’s work that was necessary for the maintenance of the oil pipeline system and the connection of new facilities built as part of the pipeline capacity expansion project.

The consortium shipped 44.3 million tons of CPC Blend from the terminal in 2016, as compared to 42.76 million tons in 2015.

CPC shareholders are Transneft (24 percent), KazMunaiGas (19 percent), Chevron (15 percent), LUKARCO (12.5 percent), Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company (7.5 percent), Rosneft Shell Caspian Ventures Ltd. (7.5 percent), CPC Company (7 percent), BG Overseas Holdings Limited (2 percent), Eni (2 percent), Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures (1.75 percent) and Oryx Caspian Pipeline (1.75 percent).
