SOCAR’s Azneft discloses oil and gas production volumes

Azneft Production Union of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR produced 4.11 million tons of oil and 3.43 billion cubic meters of gas in January-August 2017.
"Sixty nine, instead of the planned 49, inactive wells, have been brought back to operation, since early 2017, making it possible to produce additional 33,400 tons of oil," Azneft told Trend Sept. 26.
Azneft also carried out 422 geological operations. As a result of those operations, 175,500 tons of oil were additionally extracted, which is by 64,400 tons of oil more than the planned volume.
The technical work, carried out by Azneft, resulted in the additional production of 36,000 tons of oil, instead of the planned 29,100 tons.
Forty nine wells were drilled and commissioned in January-August upon Azneft’s order and 71,000 tons of oil were additionally produced from those wells.
SOCAR includes companies producing oil and gas onshore and offshore, as well as the Azneft production association, the Azerkimya, which includes chemical industry enterprises, and the Azerigaz, which distributes produced gas in Azerbaijan.
The company also includes oil and gas processing plants, service companies, and institutions for geophysical and drilling operations.
