Iran’s gasoline output stood at 74.6 million liters per day during the first eight months of current fiscal year (started March 20), National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company(NIORDC), said.
The figure indicates a rise by 8 percent, compared to the same period of the preceding year, the public relations office of NIORDC said Dec. 3.
Iran produced 25.824 million liters of Euro-4 quality gasoline and 48.791 million liters of gasoline with non-Euro quality on a daily basis during the 8-month period, 16 and 4 percent more, respectively, year-on-year.
Shazand refinery ranked first in terms of gasoline production(15 million liters per day), followed by Abadan(11 million), Esfahan(11 million), Bandar Abbas(10 million), Tehran(6 million), Tabriz(3.5 million) and Lavan(2 million) refineries.
Iran has announced that will cut gasoline imports by February 2018, when the gasoline output of Iran’s giant Persian Gulf Star refinery to reach 12 million liters per day.
The refinery’s gasoline output currently stands at 10 million liters per day.
The country’s average daily gasoline consumption stands at 82 million liters.
