In January-May 2018, the volume of oil production in Kazakhstan amounted to 32.18 million tons, which is 7.8 percent more than in the same period of 2017, the Committee for Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan said in a message.
In the reporting period, the country produced 5.5 million tons of gas condensate (a decrease by 1.7 percent compared to January-May last year), 23.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 46.98 million tons of coal, 17.25 million tons iron ore, 41.36 million tons of copper ore, 8.63 million tons of gold ore and 1.9 million tons of chrome concentrate.
Kazakhstan’s oil exports in January-May 2018, in turn, amounted to 30.6 million tons, which is 5.7 percent more compared to the same period of 2017.
