Around 30 petrochemical projects are underway in Iran, said Ali Mohammad Bosaghzadeh, Director of Production Control in Iran's National Petrochemical Company (NPC), SHANA reported.

He noted that boosting the value turnover is one of the priorities of NPC and maximum attention has been paid to this issue in recent years.

“In this regard, we are striving to be able to sort out the products in the new projects and to make the final production sustainable,” he said.

“For this purpose 18 projects are at the stage of implementation in Chabahar and Qeshm. This is while 10 projects are underway in Asaluyeh and Mashhar.”

Bosaghzadeh noted that two new petrochemical projects have been implemented in recent months, adding that more projects will come on stream by late 2018.

“I hope, we will see the implementation of new projects every year,” he added.

He pointed out that Kaveh Methanol will start production soon. “The work on other projects continues rapidly.”
