In January-September 2018, the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) increased the supply of petroleum products by 51.1 percent, Turkmen State Statistics Committee reported.

At the same time, the growth of local petroleum coke exports amounted to 49.2 percent. During the reported period, exports of sulfur produced at the TCOR increased by 159.8 percent.

Turkmenistan is developing projects to further increase the capacity of oil refineries in the cities of Turkmenbashi and Seydi, which are part of the TCOR.

Turkmenistan plans to increase the capacity of the oil refining industry to 20 million tons of oil by 2020, to 22 million tons by 2025, to 30 million tons by 2030.

The country produces annually about 10 million tons of oil at the present stage, a significant part of which is processed at local enterprises.
