Iran to launch 2 important oil projects in Ilam Province

The Dana and Danan oil projects in Iran’s western Ilam Province will start operating during the 2nd month of the Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), Qasem Soleimani Dashtaki, Governor of the Iran’s Ilam Province, told Tasnim News Agency, Trend reports.

According to Soleimani Dashtaki, 18 trillion rials (app. $428 million) have been allocated for the launch of these 2 oil projects.

Soleimani Dashtaki added that the project will begin after 12 trillion rials (app. $285 million) will be allocated by the National Development Fund of Iran for the development of Danan oilfield.

"About 4 percent of this amount (app. 480 billion rials or $11.4 million) will be paid to the development and beautification projects in the province," he noted.

He went on to say that the Dana Geophysics Company will start operating during the beginning of next month (2nd month of the Iranian calendar) with 6 trillion rials (app. $142 million).

"The Dana project, which has been operating for 3 years thanks to oil and gas exploration at the Bijar Strait, can play a major role in the commissioning of the 2 phases of the Ilam Gas Processing Plant," he said.

Noting the importance of these 2 projects, Soleimani Dashtaki expressed hope that the opening and launch of these projects will soon be held with the participation of Iranian oil officials.
