The 2nd refinery of Iran's South Pars Gas Complex is currently producing 370 tons of sulfur and 72,000 tons of gas condensate, Mehdi Gerami Shirazi, manager of the 2nd refinery of the South Pars Gas Complex, told Fars News Agency, Trend reports.

According to Gerami Shirazi, thanks to the capabilities of local companies, the 2nd and 3rd phases of the South Pars Gas Complex are currently capable of maximum production.

Gerami Shirazi added that in recent years there have been no problems in production and an increase in production has been observed in 2 phases.

"These increases were 13 percent in the 1st phase and 10 percent in the 2nd phase. Overall, this has led to the production of 60 million cubic meters of sweet gas daily in the 2nd and 3rd phases," he said.

Gerami Shirazi said that all the equipment needed for the factory was made by local designers and companies.

The South Pars/North Dome field is the world’s biggest gas field shared by Iran and Qatar in the Persian Gulf.
