Iranian automotive oil company Iranol Co. is interested in exporting its products specially base oils, to Azerbaijan.
The head of Iranol distribution department Javad Poursadri discussed the company's production plan in an interview with Trend.
"Iranol produces various types of lubricants, the major part of production is used for domestic market and part of products including base oils is being exported," he said.
"The destination countries for base oils are China, Malaysia, UAE, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan and Hong Kong," he said.
"Azerbaijan is not among our permanent customers but we'd like to exports products to Azerbaijan. We have exported products there, but still haven't found a permanent customer," he said.
"Our quality products are manufactured under the latest international standards," he said.
"Our sale is in cash and we receive the payment before sending the product from customs to destination countries. Our customers would pay the money in the form of foreign currency to our foreign accounts," he indicated.
"Foreign companies have no investment in Iranian companies but we have many foreign customers," he said, responding to whether Iranol has foreign investors.
Poursadri said that barter is one of the solutions for Iran during sanctions, which is one option that Iranol is using with foreign customers.
"Iranol had a contract and joint venture with Petronas but due to sanctions we started facing problems. Although Petronas is a Malaysian company by name, but all its centers and refineries are in Europe. So this created problems," he said.
"We still maintain contacts with Petronas and wait for the launch of INSTEX for banking transactions," he said.
