Uzbekistan raises gas inflow from well in Ustyurt

Industrial flow of gas obtained from the well No. 1 "Kushkir" in Ustyurt region of Uzbekistan was brought to 200,000 cubic meters per day, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.

The depth of the exploratory well is 3550 m.

Work on the site was carried out as part of a program to expand exploration in the Ustyurt oil and gas region in 2017-2019.

The first gas in Uzbekistan was produced in 1953 at the Setalan-tepe field in the Kyzyl-Kum desert. In 1962, a unique Gazli field was developed with the introduction of transcontinental gas pipelines Bukhara-Ural and Central Asia - Center.

Industrial oil development in Uzbekistan began in 1885 with the exploration of two wells near the village of Cimion in the Fergana Valley.

Industrial exploration in the area started in 1900, and gushing oil was obtained from a depth of more than 270 meters in 1904.
