The current approved hydrocarbon reserves in Uzbekistan will last for 20-30 years, Trend reports citing Podrobno.uz.

"We have very large and promising areas of geological exploration. With existing production and use, current approved reserves of hydrocarbon will be enough for 20-30 years," chairman of the board of "Uzbekneftegaz" company Bahodirjon Sidikov said.

Sidikov added that today work is being done to ensure that the volume of the annual increase in reserves is more than production. That is, for each period in the future there will be a plan to provide the country with gas for the next 20 years.

The other day, the head of state Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a set of measures for the financial rehabilitation of oil and gas companies.

The Uzbek authorities intend to attract the world's major oil and gas companies to extract hydrocarbon raw materials from fields with hard-to-recover reserves based on common conditions and mechanisms in foreign investment practices, as well as to increase their own production.
