Turkmenistan to hold talks on oil and gas projects

The presentation of new projects planned to be implemented in the Turkmen oil and gas sector will be conducted as part of the first Caspian Economic Forum which is being held in Avaza, Trend reports referring to the organizers of the event.

The negotiations will be held with potential investors and partners.

The new technological facilities are planned to be built at the oil refinery in Turkmenbashi city. These facilities will bring the oil refining depth up to more than 90 percent, increase the production of high-quality gasoline, base technical oil and other petrochemical products.

Moreover, the technical and economic feasibility of arranging the production of fuel at an oil refinery in Seydi city are being considered in terms of its further use as raw materials for the production of high-value products such as polystyrene and rubber, which are in demand on the world market.

A number of projects in the gas industry are planned to be implemented. Among these projects are the second polymer plant in Balkan province and the second phase of the synthetic gasoline production plant in Ahal province, the rubber and polystyrene production plant in Lebap province and the polyvinyl acetate and methanol production plant in Dashoguz province.
