By the end of the term of the current Iranian government (August 2021), situation at all Iran’s joint fields will be assessed, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh said during the signing ceremony on the development of the Bilal gas field, Trend reports via IRINN Sept. 14.
He noted that the contractor company that will work on all fields will be known.
He added that several agreements will be signed.
“This Iranian year [started March 21, 2019], condition of Phase 11 of the South Pars gas field and the Farzad B gas field will be known,” he said.
He added that gas production from Phase 11 of the South Pars field is expected to begin in 2021.
The South Pars/North Dome field is the world’s biggest gas field shared by Iran and Qatar in the Persian Gulf. The Farzad B gas field is shared by Iran and Saudi Arabia.
