From January to September 2019, 65,124 new subscribers were registered by Azerbaijan's gas operator, Azerigaz Production Association, Trend reports referring to the company.
In September 2019, 5,705 new subscribers were registered, of which 3,672 fell to the share of Baku, Absheron and Sumgayit, while the country's districts accounted to 2,033 new registrations.
Thus, as of Oct. 1, the number of subscribers provided with natural gas throughout the country exceeded 2.246 million. Of these, 2.215 are subscribers of the residential sector, and 31,068 are non-residential.
In Baku the number of subscribers is 865,782, in other regions of the country - 1.381 million people.
Moreover, a limit of 5,000 cubic meters of natural gas per year is allocated for 566 mosques and other religious institutions.
