New gas processing plant commissioned in Uzbekistan

Construction of Uzbekistan’s Kandym gas processing plant (GPP) and related infrastructure has been completed by LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company, Trend reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan’s State Acceptance Commission signed an act of acceptance of the facilities of the Kandym gas processing complex, which marked the completion of the construction.

The Kandym complex of fields includes a gas processing plant with two process lines with a capacity of 4.05 billion cubic meters of natural gas each, an administrative building, 71 wells, 285 kilometers of roads, as well as an export gas pipeline with a length of 70 kilometers, a water pipe with a length of 55 kilometers and three power lines with a length of 268 kilometers.

The project worth about $3.5 billion, was implemented in a record time of eight months ahead of schedule. The enerprise is capable of producing up to eight billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
