Oil export from Kazakhstan for 10 months of 2019 amounted to 59.56 million tons, or 0.9 percent more compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports referring to Kazinform MIA.
Oil refining for 10 months of 2019 amounted to 14.2 million tons with an increase of more than 5 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
Oil refining is carried out at 5 plants: 4.4 million tons or 100.3 percent compared to the same period in 2018 were processed at the Pavlodar refinery; 4.5 million tons of oil or 115.6 percent compared to the same period in 2018 were processed at the Shymkent oil refinery; 4.4 million tons of oil or 101.1 percent were processed at the Atyrau refinery; 765, 000 tons or 104.3 percent were processed at the CASPI BITUM plant (Mangistau region); and 116,000 tons or 74.3 percent were processed at Condensate JSC (West Kazakhstan Region).
The production of the main types of oil products - gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and fuel oil - amounted to 10.5 million tons, showing an increase of 10.2 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
Some 3.6 million tons of gasoline were produced, which is 12.5 percent more compared to the same period in 2018, and 4.1 million tons of diesel fuel were produced, with 8.1 percent increase compared to the same period in 2018.
Moreover, 524,500 tons of jet fuel or 182 percent compared to the same period in 2018 were produced. Fuel oil was produced in the amount of 2.3 million tons or 99.5 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
Since July, the export of gasoline has been opened and the export volume amounted to 42,600 tons. Gas production over 10 months amounted to 46.3 billion cubic meters with an increase of 1.5 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
Commercial gas production amounted to 27.12 billion cubic meters, or 98.6 percent compared to the same period in 2018. The volume of domestic consumption of marketable gas amounted to 11.8 billion cubic meters with an increase of 3 percent compared to the same period in 2018. Gas exports amounted to 15.3 billion cubic meters, or 91.1 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
The decline in exports is associated with an increase in domestic gas consumption. Production of liquefied petroleum gas for 10 months of this year was in the amount of 2.6 million tons, or 101.7 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
In addition, large-scale projects are being implemented at Tengiz, Kashagan and Karachaganak fields.
The current status of the work shows actual delivery in the amount of $28 billion. Kazakhstan’s share in the project amounted to 36 percent or more than $7 billion.
In the period up to 2025, the volume of investments in the Isatai, Abay and Zhenis projects is expected to be about $136 million.
