Kazakhstan starts export of unique diesel fuel

Kazakhstan’s Atyrau refinery of KazMunayGas National Company (KMG) has started manufacturing and supplies of frost resistant Khazar diesel fuel limiting filterability temperature of which is minus 38 degrees centigrade, Trend reports with reference to the press office of KazMunayGas Company.

“Taking into consideration severe winters in various regions of Kazakhstan, this fuel will be of high demand among local consumers. The first batch was provided to the customers on November 14, 2019, and total of 3,088 tons of fuel were supplied as of now. Atyrau refinery is planning to supply a total of 3,500 tons of fuel in November,” the report said.

Furthermore, Khazar-38 diesel fuel is a unique product for both the refinery and Kazakhstan. It also meets the K5 ecology class requirements.

“The fuel is being produced at the only unit of hydrotreating and dewaxing of diesel fuel Prime D of the complex of deep oil processing,” the report said.

The manufacturing became possible due to the putting into operation of the new units of complex of deep oil processing during large-scale modernization of the plant.

KazMunayGas National Company is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
