Iran discloses volume of oil products exported from Hormozgan province

More than two million tons of oil products were exported via ports from Iran's western Hormozgan province from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), director of the Lengeh port in the province Qasim Asgari Nasab said, Trend reports referring to the website of the Ports and Maritime Organization of the province.

“Some 1.73 million tons of oil products were shipped through the ports from the Hormozgan province during the reporting period, which shows 12-percent growth,” the director of the port said.

“More than 193,000 tons of non-oil items were transited from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year, which is four percent more compared to the same period of last year,” Nasab added.

“The number of ships served in the ports of the province increased by 23 percent,” the director of the port said. “Thus, 9,280 ships moored at these ports, and 50,600 tons of goods were imported.”

“More than 22,600 passengers were transported through Lengeh port to the ports of the United Arab Emirates showing 15-percent growth,” Nasab said.

“More than 378,000 passengers were transported through Lengeh, Aftab and Chark ports to Kish, Abu Musa and other islands in the Persian Gulf this Iranian year,” the director of the port added.

Nasab said that passenger transportation via the Lengeh port increased by 65 percent (33,300 people).
