Volume of production in some Iranian oil companies disclosed

The volume of gas production at the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) amounted to 62.6 billion cubic meters in the current Iranian year (March 21, 2019 – February, 19, 2020), Executive Director of the ICOFC Ramin Hatami said, reports referring to the IOFC’s website.

Hatami also touched upon the activity of four following Iranian oil companies: South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC), East Oil & Gas Production Company (EOGPC), West Oil & Gas Production Company (WOGPC), and National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).

The executive director said that Iran’s South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) produced 47.1 billion cubic meters of gas and 37,000 barrel of oil during the indicated 11 months.

During this period, 13.8 billion cubic meters of gas were produced at the EOGPC, while 1.69 billion cubic meters of gas and 33 million barrels of oil were produced the WOGPC.

Hatami added that the program on an increasing of a daily volume of gas production up to 20 million cubic meters at the NISOC is envisaged.

So, the program provides for the increasing of current production potential from 22 million to 42 million cubic meters, and the development of the Aghar gas field, and etc.

From March 21, 2019 through October 22, 2019, 1.44 billion cubic meters of gas was pumped into the Shurije D reservoir at the WOGPC, and 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas were used in winter.

Some 12 gas fields and 13 oil fields are operated at the National Iranian South Oil Company, and the development work of 2 gas fields, 2 oil fields is underway at the company.

In general, Iran has 125 oil fields and 59 gas fields. Iran’s total hydrocarbon reserves are 836 billion barrels. Using the technological equipment, it is possible to extract 239 billion barrels of this volume.
