Iran's Isfahan Oil Refinery repairs its turbines

The PT1-631A turbine was repaired and put into operation at Iran's Isfahan refinery's isomax section of plant #1, Mehdi Nasr Azadani, the Director of Maintenance at the refinery said, Trend reports citing the company's website.

According to Azadani, in the mentioned turbine, leaks were detected, and the problem needed to be handled.

Azadani added that after some inspections it was possible to complete the repairs within 24 days.

The company official said the cost of this turbine is estimated at more than 400 billion rials (about $ 9.52 million).

Iran's Isfahan Refinery was established in 1979. The company currently processes more than 375,000 barrels of oil per day. The company produces 12 million liters of gasoline per Euro 5 standard and 2 million liters of diesel in Euro 4 and 5 standards.

In the next Iranian year (begins March 21, 2021) the company is expected to produce 22 million liters of diesel a day according to Euro-5 standard. Isfahan Refinery supplies about 23 percent of Iran's oil products.
