Uzbekneftegas launches well N 64 of Sharkiy Berdak field of the company's Ustyurt oil and gas production department, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz press service.
This well is located on the shore of Uchsoy lake in Muynak district.
As a result of perforation works carried out at intervals of 2,050-2,056 meters and 2,234-2,237 meters, commercial gas inflow with daily flow rate of 100,000 cubic meters was obtained.
Sharkiy Berdak gas condensate field is located in Muynak district of the Uzbekistan's Republic of Karakalpakstan. It was put into operation in 2002.
The national holding company Uzbekneftegaz is a state-owned holding company and the largest state company in Uzbekistan. The company ranks 11th in the world's natural gas production.
Recently, Uzbekneftegas launched well number 127 at Somontepa field of Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC oil and gas company.
Earlier, Uzbekneftegaz renovated abandoned wells number 288 and number 327 of Shurtan field in Guzar district of Kashkadarya region.
At the beginning of 2020, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting at which the head of state instructed Uzbekneftegaz to thoroughly analyze each field it is operating and ensure the increase in gas production.
